GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) Course

  • Duration of Course: Three years Regular Course.
  • Fee Structure: As per Govt. of Punjab instructions from time to time



  • Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively on or before 31st Oct. of the year of admission.
  • Minimum Educational qualification.
  • +2 pass candidates/students in any stream with aggregate of 45% marks.
  • Students ought to be medically fit.
  • In addition to the above, admission procedure can be altered / amended / prescribed by State Nursing Council. Examination Boards (S.I.B.E., M.I.B., C.M.A.I.)

Documents Required

  • 10th certificate,+2 certificate, Migration certificate, Character certificate, Aadhar card, 20 passport size photo.
  • Income Certificate & Cast Certificate (for SC/ST/BC candidates only).

Admission Process: As per the Academic merit in qualifying examination.
Reservation of Seats: As per Punjab Govt. policy.

  • Military Nursing – In Army/BSF/CRPF- Direct Designation as Assistant Sub Inspector, In Army- Designation from Lieutenant to Major-General

  • GNM pass candidates are eligible for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
  • As Staff Nurse, Ward Sister in Community Health Centre and hospitals ( Govt. & Private )
  • Nursing Superintendant.
